New Beginnings – 2018
Baptism Programme for Children at school
You give many great gifts to your children. This is your chance to give them the greatest gift – the gift of Faith.
The Sacrament of Baptism marks the beginning of our life of faith.
In Baptism, we are welcomed into God’s family and begin the journey of getting to know and understand the meaning of God’s love.
In the Catholic Church, Baptism involves a priest pouring water on a person’s head, while invoking the Trinity of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Through Baptism, a person is shares in the resurrection of Jesus and is “made new” (2 Corinthians 5:17).
NEW Beginnings is the baptism preparation programme we are running for school children in 2018. Parents and caregivers, the Parish and I invite you and your family to participate in this important initiative.
