Connect Groups
At Tongariro Catholic, we have several Connect Groups designed to connect people together for fellowship and support – so that our parish becomes a community of communities. If you have an idea for a new Connect Group get in touch!
Depth Charge
This group meets weekly on a Wednesday at 10am for those interested in delving deeper into discussions of faith using engaging resources from Word on Fire.
Family Connect
Family Connect meets once a month on a Sunday afternoon for fun family activities.
Endurance Connect
This is a mens group that meets weekly on a Thursday evening at 7pm.
Tim Tam Connect
Tim Tam Connect meets every three weeks on a Monday at 10:00am in the café. Rather than all reading the same book at the same time, the purpose of this group is to share our favourite books and authors – whatever is on your bedside table that week. Everyone is welcome!
Purl Connect
Purl connect is a knitting (and sometimes sewing) group.
We meet on a thursday afternoon and mostly knit woollen blankets, baby singlets and hats for prem or new born babies, which are then forwarded to the local maternity hospital. Everyone is welcome!
